How to Get the Most out of Your AIO Membership
Get the Most Out of Your AIO Membership
At AIO, we might be more passionate about you achieving your goals than you are. Nothing fires us up more than seeing people hit PRs, burn fat, gain muscle, and feel better about themselves.
It’s the reason we opened AIO—and the reason we love coming in every day.
Given this, we want you to use the gym as best as you possibly can to get the most out of your membership. Here are some ideas on how to do just that:
1. Use the Mobility Studio
We created our Mobility Studio because we saw a need to improve positioning and range of motion for our members.
Flexibility is just as important as strength, power, and cardio—yet most people don’t spend much time on it. Without proper range of motion, there’s a good chance you aren’t hitting ideal positions on your lifts, which means you could be lifting even more—and you may be creating muscle imbalances that increase your risk of injury.
Now, you might be thinking you don’t know how to improve your mobility. No problem—we’ve got you covered.
- Attend one of our Yoga or Stretch & Roll classes to have an instructor guide you through a stretching session.
- Can’t make a class? Try ROMWOD (Range of Motion Workout of the Day)—our online guided stretching program, available through the TV in the Mobility Studio. It features a new session daily, ranging from 15–50 minutes.
We know stretching isn’t “the sexy thing to do,” but remember when you didn’t realize how great CrossFit could make you feel? Then you signed up—and within weeks, you couldn’t live without it.
Stretching will be the same. You don’t know you need it—until you start doing it.
2. Improve Your Nutrition
Exercise is one thing—and it’s a great thing—but to truly be as healthy and fit as possible, you also need to address your nutrition.
You can’t out-train a poor diet. Even if you don’t see the negative effects, you’ll feel them.
Many people think eating healthy means being deprived, but nothing could be further from the truth. When you start fueling your body with nutritious foods, you’ll notice:
- Better performance
- More energy
- Positive body changes
- Natural cravings for healthy foods
You’ll actually want to eat healthy!
We offer several ways to support your nutrition goals:
- Complimentary nutrition seminars throughout the year
- One-on-one nutrition consultations
- In-depth programs like AIO on Macros and Executive Body Transformation, which include body measurements and regular check-ins to personalize your nutrition plan
3. Attend Specialty Classes
As you’ve likely heard us say before: technique is EVERYTHING!
Without proper technique, your risk of injury increases—and your efficiency (and performance) decreases.
A great way to improve your technique is to attend our specialty classes, including:
- Olympic Lifting
- Powerlifting
- Gymnastics
Each one targets a different skill set to help you level up your performance.
4. Personal Training, Small Group Classes & Individualized Programming
If you’re looking for more rapid improvement or have specific goals in mind, personal training or small group sessions may be a great fit.
Whether you want to:
- Improve a specific skill
- Learn what exercises will help you prevent or recover from injury
- Get a custom program tailored to your goals
Our trainers are here to help.
5. Partake in Healthy Lifestyle Habits
What you do outside the gym can have a huge impact on what you do inside it.
Prioritize Sleep
Sleep is one of the most underrated contributors to overall health—and most of us don’t get enough. Aim to fall asleep by 10–10:30 PM, and if possible, wake up without an alarm clock (we know, easier said than done!).
If you struggle to fall or stay asleep, try Yin Reserve—a magnesium-based supplement that promotes deeper, more restful sleep without grogginess in the morning. Ask Coach Carlo for guidance on how to use it.
Reduce Stress
Managing stress helps you feel better, recover faster, and improve overall health.
- Attend Yoga classes
- Maintain a daily meditation practice
- Take Epsom salt baths regularly
Keep a Foundational Supplement Routine
To keep your energy levels high and your health strong, Coach Carlo recommends taking these daily:
- Multivitamin
- Probiotics
- Fish oil
- Digestive aid
Ask him about recommended brands and proper dosages.
Final Thoughts
Using the tips above will help you get the most out of your AIO gym membership. You’ll find that your performance improves, your body changes, and you feel better than ever before!
